Ortho-nitrobenzaldehyde, also known as 2-nitrobenzaldehyde, has a molecular formula of C7H5NO3 and a molecular weight of 151.12. It is a light yellow powder crystal or bright yellow needle-like crystal. It can volatilize with water vapor and has a benzaldehyde fragrance. Easily soluble in ethanol, ether, benzene, slightly soluble in water. Reacts violently with pyrrole. The main Uses are for organic synthesis intermediates, pharmaceuticals and dye intermediates.
